Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

One night away

After the exhaustion of Holiday Club it seemed right to go away. It was hard to find somewhere not too far away, that didn't cost the earth, that we could have for only one night (soccer was on and having not played any games due to the weather it felt wrong to miss the first one) and that was on the way to drop Indie at Mum's. I found an expensive room in Kiama - turns out Kiama is a really lovely place to stay. We were central and so while Seth was chucking (yep the ONLY night we went away he gets sick!!) Xavi and I went for a wander around the water, the harbour and the blowhole.
He was feeling a bit better on Sunday so we went for breakfast and all went to see the blowhole. In warmer weather I think Kiama would be a great place to stay. Beautiful views everywhere, everything within walking distance, space to throw a frisbee and a cute cafe with decent coffee and a view. Kiama I think we'll be back for a longer stay next time and without a tummy bug - which thankfully the rest of us have avoided so far!!

Bastian's Birthday Breakfast

What a treat to celebrate with Bastian his 8th birthday. I love that Gillies/Hanna boys are mates despite the miles that separate them.

Camden Show - start of April

We hit the Camden Show this year. It is cheaper than the Easter Show, the boys are just as happy and Bert doesn't mind it. Seth got his chips on a stick, I got my choc covered strawberries and Steph ruined a pair of shoes in the ridiculous mud we had to wade through - note to self next year wear gumboots. The boys got Ninja Turtles and Pokemon show bags. A good night was had by all.

Old post - Lego Movie

This is us seeing the Lego movie a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything is awesome.

Jungle Adventure - The Amazing Rescue
We taught kids about their need for Jesus. We had a puppet called Basil (his normal wrangler was unavailable so I attempted puppeting - I was so so) we had Ben, craft, games, drama, fabulous decorations and a great team of leaders. It was exhausting but worth it when heaps of the families came to church on Good Friday. We have planted many seeds. That is my eighth HC - who knew I'd still be doing this eight years down the track!

Will you let me post photos from my phone?
