Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

Teknacon

This week I spent two days at Teknacon - previously called the Theology of Children's Ministry Conference. So much to think about! My brain hurt a bit but some good things to try and implement into what we do in teaching kids to follow Jesus.

Port Hacking is such a beautiful place to stop and reflect on God's goodness and amazing creation.

100 Days of School

On Tuesday Xavier celebrated 100 days of school. They celebrated with lots of counting activities and a little party. Do you think he looks happy to be taking a massive box of Froot Loops to school?

Silly dog

She slept like this for a good while - weirdo!!

Tennis with Grandad

The boys had a couple of sleepovers at Mum and Dad's in the holidays. They played tennis and had a ball. I love that they get to do this with Dad - it reminds me of my childhood. Some things don't really change.

The Upside Down Show

Xavier has discovered The Upside Down Show and listening to him watching it is hilarious - giggles, belly laughs, using the remote to make things happen and the odd funky dance. So glad - such a great show :)

SETH

Seth is quite chuffed - he realised that the letters of his name make up one of his favourite families S ebastian E lliot T ristan H anna And it's in birth order! Did you mean to do that Jac? We love it!!

Holiday Sunday

Although I always feel guilty not going to church, when you work for church and are meant to be on holidays it's best to stay away. Trying to explain that to Seth was a bit tricky but I think he understood.
We decided a day in the city was in order. We caught the train in, breakfast by the harbour, wandered round the Opera House, Rocks Markets (speedy walk through but keen to go back sometime without the boys) ferry to Darling Harbour, lunch & Campos!, play at the park, gelato, street performer (who Xavi couldn't understand - he can dance better than him - then proceeded to show me some dance moves - love him xx) ferry, train & home! Good times, good times.

View for breakfast - not bad (although the coffee was just awful!)

We love a day in the city - the train & ferry ride would probably be enough for the boys. It was busy today - lots of Lions supporters in their red jerseys but it was a beautiful Sydney winters day so who could blame them?
What will week two of the holidays hold?? They are going too fast!!!!

While Bert was away.....

While Bert & Seth were away Liz and the girls came to play. Lots of creative play, trampolining, talking, laughing, giggling, writing, wii, bowling, churros eating and movie watching happened - allowing Liz and I time to chat and drink coffee. Mima in particular missed Seth but I think Xavi would have if Bibby wasn't there to fill the gap. It was a special couple of days.

Happy 14th Anniversary

We went out for breakfast - it's our thing really. Took the boys and felt very grateful for 14 years together and two beautiful sons.

That night Seth & Bert got on a plane to visit the Hanna's. They had a wonderful time with our fabulous friends - so, so glad this trip could happen.

Seth's Ice-Skating Party

Seth is not one to have big parties - he is like his mum and struggles with his worlds colliding. This year when he actually asked for a party I didn't feel I could say no. When he decided on an ice-skating party Bert couldn't have been happier - Bert loves to skate.
Seth had a great time with his church & school buddies and his cousins. The worlds colliding was ok. The cake/cookies were fabulous and completely not done by me - all done by wonderful Steph. Most of all Seth had a memorable and happy time. Yay for being 9 :)
