First day of school - Kindy here Xavi comes!!!

Xavier was all dressed and ready by 7:30 this morning. It was a loooong wait til 9:40!! There were no tears today - not from Xavi or myself. I'm feeling pretty good about the whole thing actually :)
Xavier is in a class with a friend from church. He has Miss Fullwood as his teacher - she is friendly, sweet and young and we like her already!
He hasn't said much about his day but came out of school with a big smile so I think it was a good day. Yay for Kindy!!!

First day of Year 3

With trepidation Seth started school today. He's a worrier - like his Mum! It didn't last long - he has Mr Bush again and some more of his friends in his class. Happy days! Bring on Year 3.

Australia Day 2013

We decided a trip to the beach was in order seeing as we haven't made it there yet this summer. Seth loves the beach and just screams with excitement as he jumps over every wave. I love that he does that. Xavier is still not so sure about the waves but will happily play on the sand so I figure he'll get to the Seth stage one day.
We didn't really go to get into the Australia Day spirit but it was an Aussie type thing to do so yay us I guess!
We had a really late night the night before hence the boys falling asleep on the way home.

Chloe's Sydney Birthday Party

Xavi and I headed to Nonna and Gary's for some birthday fun Jen style. Face painting, water guns, splashing, cupcakes and ice cream.So lovely to be able to celebrate Chloe turning 5 with our friends.

Gillies/Rivas Day

What began as an idea that we could spend a fun day together grew into a big day of fun together! Monkey Mania, morning tea at the park, painting on canvases at home, wraps for lunch, board game, Just Dance on wii, decorating cupcakes, movie, park with Uncle Matt, ice blocks, slip & slide, showers, cereal and toast for tea, Minuscule watching, glow sticks and jumping on the trampoline in PJ's in the dark.....fun & exhausting!

Catching up

Some of us are good at calling. Some of us are good at blogging.
I am usually good at blogging and not really very good at calling people. I have been bad at both the last little while. So I am going to catch up a bit. In my defence I have been 'catching up' with people in person the last week or so!



Xavi asked for a photo with his brother on the way home from SS - pretty happy with that!











We got given a slip & slide for Christmas and the boys love it.

They will be best mates one day - when Xavi always treats her this nicely.




It got to 43 under the pergola - blah!!!

The final day of SS 2013

It is with sadness we have come to the end of another SS. Every year I am challenged to know God better and to invest my time in things of eternal significance. I am reminded that SS is a great place for my kids to see lots of other kids who know Jesus. So until next year we bid SS goodbye and pray that the things we have learnt and been challenged by impact and change our lives in the year to come for the glory of His name.
