Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

Gingerbread House

You know I don't really enjoy this kind of thing - I get bored easily and I get frustrated at my lack of fine motor skills and anything to do with food. However lovely Julie and Prue were going and the thought of spending an afternoon with them over rode my dislike.
Thanks to Pinterest it turned out ok. That's me done for a few years at least!

Boxes for Christmas

Out of the nursing home visits the school has connected with a charity that collects and wraps presents for people in nursing homes who won't get a gift. Seth and I went to help out with the wrapping afternoon. They wrapped 700 gifts.

Busy times

It's that time of year where I feel constantly nervous or anxious about something - I know God has it all under control and I wish he would tell the butterflies that have taken up permanent residence in my stomach that that is the case!!
Work/church is busy - last scripture lesson today with the assembly next week, Kids' Club Finale this afternoon, carols on the way plus Christmas church stuff to organise - then there is Xavier's birthday and two parties that we are having this year (friends am and family pm - less worlds colliding) and presents to buy......to be honest most of the stuff I really enjoy and look forward to but the butterflies don't - annoying. Perhaps God wants me to pray more and worry about the things worth worrying about? Who knows! But that's where we stand.

Want to have a sleepover at Bibby's?

This is the response....

Christmas Tree 2013

The busyness and Christmasness of the season is upon us. After a busy weekend we needed an afternoon at home - a good opportunity to put up the tree. Xavier's face when I asked did he want to help was priceless!

Xavi in a box

Turns out Xavi fits in quite a small box. Thinking I'll post him to Sams' and Hanna's in the future - much cheaper!
