Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

Carols & Fireworks

Tonight was the annual big event. I can never take any photos cause I'm on the stage. A couple of things to say....Seth and Xavi performed so well with the Kids' Church kids singing on the stage - so proud of them both. Xavi found his inner rock star!
This next part is for you my friend Jacqueline - Xavier cried his eyes out all through the fireworks - cried, cried, cried!!! He doesn't like the sound so sat in my lap curled in with his eyes closed and howled! Oh well some of my most favourite friends hate fireworks so what can you do!
In other good news I hit the high G in Holy Night tonight so I am quite pleased with that.
The boys got to bed at 10:30 so tomorrow could be a long day.

Seth's Presentation Day

Today was special awards day at school. Every child receives a special award in a little awards ceremony in their classrooms even if they don't get a big award at the school assembly. It's a really great thing that the school does. The teacher gets to say something nice about every child. Seth has worked so hard this year especially in handwriting and maths. Mr Bush has really pushed the Year 2 kids and it has reaped rewards.

This last photo is of Mr Bush talking just to the Year 2 kids and telling them how proud of them he is. It was a really nice moment.

Last day of preschool

Thursday was Xavi's last day at preschool. I cried when I dropped him off and when I picked him up. He wasn't bothered in the slightest - on to bigger things for this little 5 year old.
Goodbye Gumnut Kidz - I will miss your lovely staff and your care of my boys but I won't miss how you spell kids!!!

See how sad he looks?
