Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

It's been a while

I think because of the photo thing and my laziness I got slack with blogging and with reading other people's blogs. However I do actually like documenting the goings on of the Gillies, however boring or mundane they might be, they are us and so I am jumping back in. Blog press please be kind. I will put a whole bunch of posts up and then go through and resize all the photos at some point.

Captain America

Again the super talents of one Jennifer Sams.
She truly is one of the most patient and generous people I know. No wonder we love her so.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Ok so it didn't actually snow while we were there but there was enough of the white stuff to keep us all happy.
Pete and Zoe very kindly offered for us to go with them to the lodge that Zoe's parents are members of. We were right on the snow at Perisher and it was pretty special.
Skiing/snow is not a cheap holiday but it was a super fun one and the boys are keen to go back and learn how to snowboard and ski.
We had sunny days and beautiful weather. Each night we ate cheese and drank wine while the sun set over the mountains that were right outside our window. Amazing!!
We had such a lovely time with Pete and Zoe too.
Bert gave snowboarding a go and had a blast although has injured his wrist.

Seth and piano and Indie

Seth had his first piano concert a few weeks ago. He actually wanted to play. He did pretty well - especially for a first go - just one little stumble. He was a little nervous before it started but we were so glad he gave it a go.
I have also included a cute photo of Seth and Indie - a boy and his dog.

Fletcher's Baptism

A small, home affair with family and special friends.
May this little man love Jesus every day of his life.

New boots

I bought new boots. I love them very much. They cost me more than I would usually spend but they were on sale so I got them for about half price. I have worn them nearly every day since I bought them. They even have a tiny wedge heel - go me! They were a good buy. That's all.

Spring Fair

Broughton have a Spring Fair every two years. It is usually quite a good one as far as fairs go. Like any fair it chews through your money but it's going to a good cause so that's ok right?
Berty was running a couple of hours of frisbee throwing/competition something so we went in the middle of the day so the boys could have a turn of that.
We made sure we were seen by the right people and we made sure they saw us spending money.
The boys had a blast on the hamster ball and bashing each other over with the other big blowy upy things.
