Thank you Curtis Stone and your free Chicken & Leek Pie recipe in the Coles catalogue. It's a miracle that I cooked something like this from scratch. It's a miracle it worked. It's a miracle the boys ate it and liked it - they ate leek haha!!! I even got beans into them by putting butter on them. Haha!! It was yummy too. Time consuming but yummy - guess I'll have to do it again sometime.
Welcome
For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

Mothers' Day
I don't know how a feel about Mothers' Day really. I appreciate the fact that we stop and thank our mums and can spend time thanking God for our Mum's. Really though the advertising makes it all flowers, fluffy and pink. Don't get me wrong I love a nice bunch of flowers but.....anyway I bought my own presents (which surprisingly I really love) and all I asked was I get a chocolate croissant for breakfast (NOT in bed - ew) and that Bert do the lunch boxes.
I love my boys but more often than not I feel I don't do a great job. I am reminded of my selfishness and sinfulness as I try to raise them to make good decisions and most of all to love Jesus. I think God will use my failings in his plan. I am sure my mum felt the same at times and she is one of the very best mums that I know.
In this photo I am wearing one of the presents I bought myself and I am hugging two of God's greatest blessings to me.
I am also grateful for the two Godmothers that we chose for our boys. Wise, godly, loving beautiful women & mums both inside and out. Every Mother's Day I mean to thank them for praying for and loving our boys. Seth & Xavi are so blessed to have such fabulous Godmothers - thank you Jac & Jen xxx

One night away
After the exhaustion of Holiday Club it seemed right to go away. It was hard to find somewhere not too far away, that didn't cost the earth, that we could have for only one night (soccer was on and having not played any games due to the weather it felt wrong to miss the first one) and that was on the way to drop Indie at Mum's. I found an expensive room in Kiama - turns out Kiama is a really lovely place to stay. We were central and so while Seth was chucking (yep the ONLY night we went away he gets sick!!) Xavi and I went for a wander around the water, the harbour and the blowhole.
He was feeling a bit better on Sunday so we went for breakfast and all went to see the blowhole. In warmer weather I think Kiama would be a great place to stay. Beautiful views everywhere, everything within walking distance, space to throw a frisbee and a cute cafe with decent coffee and a view. Kiama I think we'll be back for a longer stay next time and without a tummy bug - which thankfully the rest of us have avoided so far!!
