Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

Carols in the Domain

The night before the big show they do a full dress rehearsal. Some new friends at church invited some of us to go with them. It's much less packed and you can get a park easily and sit really close. Not all the artists were there but we got to see Tina Arena, Jimmy Barnes and a whole bunch of reality talent show winners. It was a really fun thing to do with some lovely friends. You don't have to get there at 9am either - we got there at 5pm and it started at about 8. Also they don't do the fireworks so our children only cried when it rained and lightninged for about 20mins - truly they were terrified - it was rain!!!! Anyway all in all very fun.

Carols 2013

They seem to come around so quickly. I was the singer this year - just me - it was a bit nice. I even got to dress up a bit :) We had beautiful weather this year and a great turn out. Ben Pakula organised the music and practices and it was so great to just be told what to do and bit have to negotiate with people or feel the pressure of it going well. It was a great night - Mum and Dad even came!
Xavier is not a fan of the fireworks so Mum took him behind the school buildings while they were on - he didn't like them but he didn't cry so that's an improvement!

Clever boys

We were quite chuffed this year. Both the boys got an award at the Presentation Day Assembly at school. They both have had a really great year and their teachers are truly wonderful. I'll be a bit sad to see this year end. Praying they have great teachers next year too.
Xavier's award was for outstanding improvement and Seth's was for consistent effort - can't ask for more than that!

Xavier turns 6!

I feel a bit sorry for our Xavi. He waits all year for his birthday and all too soon it's over for him. Two weeks later it's Christmas and then he has to wait for another whole year. I think he smiled all day both at his party and his 'actual' birthday. He is funny, cute, cheeky, cuddly, loveable and full of energy. Sometimes he drives us crazy but we love him to pieces - crazy and all.
