Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

The Grounds at Alexandria

Today I went to visit my friend Bec and she took me to The Grounds. I've been wanting to go for a long time - felt like I suitably got my Sydney funky hipster on -actually not true I am not funky or hipstery but the Grounds are beautiful. The coffee and the food is amazing. Apparently it's really busy on the weekend - it was Monday and it was packed. So popular - nice place!

Soccer Gala Day

Saturday was all about soccer. Xavi's games were at Camden at 9 & 10 followed by medal presentation - then home for Bert to leave for his soccer - then the boys and I headed over to Macquarie Fields for Seth's games at 1:30pm & 3:30pm followed by medal presentation. We got home after 5pm - such a long day but a fun end to the soccer season. Sleep in next Saturday!!!!

There's no photo of Seth by himself with his medal - let's just say a long day of soccer had caught up with us all and grumpiness was in abundance - not the best circumstances for happy photos.

T-Ball Gala Day

It was an overcast and windy day but Seth had great fun. He got a home run!

He's a nutcase - but oh we love him

I am not sure what mould Xavier came from but I'm sure they broke it after he was made. He can be the most infuriating child but he can also be the sweetest, funniest little mate. He drives me crazy but I love him to bits.

This last one is a Lego picture of Jesus on the cross. He wanted to take it to Kids' Church to show everyone - he settled for me taking a picture instead.(not happily)

Happy Days

Although an unimportant piece of information for most of you it is an exciting one for me. Today I did a casual teaching day. It was a crazy day in six different classes, however as I walked out the door at 3pm all the other teachers were gearing up for the infants and primary discos - so staying for another few hours. With all my up and down thinking about whether I should have kept the steady Friday job share - today confirmed how happy I am that I decided to go casual. No crazy discos for me. Happy days!

Indie - our puppy love

Gala Day Joy

Seth came home on Friday absolutely thrilled that he made it into the Teeball team. Rather than play sport against different schools each week the schools in our area do three full gala days each term - much better use of time in my opinion - sucks a bit though if you never get in any teams. To be honest I thought that might be our Seth, but it turns out that he made a team - yay! He is super excited - who knows how he will go, but who really cares hey?! So glad that Fridays are casual days for me now so that I can go and cheer him on. I have no doubt that was God's perfect timing.
