Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

Easter Saturday

Soccer will take up most Saturday mornings from next week so we took the opportunity to go out for breakfast this morning. Squeeze & Grind in Camden is a funky place with delicious food, good coffee and a great feel. Corn fritters and Granny Smith French Toast, apple pie smoothie and mixed berry smoothie - sooo yum!

Good Friday

Great morning at church followed by a 'parish potluck picnic' and then a visit from lovely Steph bearing yummy treats.

Easter Poem

I love this poem. I wrote it down off a teacher's blackboard many Easters ago. I love its simplicity and truth. Every year I try to use it somehow on an Easter craft.

Happy Easter everyone xx

Science Day

Today Seth's grade had a fun day of science experiments. They were allowed to dress up like a scientist - a little easier than a fluffy, ridiculous hat!
He had a ball!! Our little science buff.

At the Easter Parade

Sooooo Xavi had his first Easter hat parade today. We made a $2 hat look fabulous with green feathers and chickens and stickers - fabulous may be over stating it a little. I struggle with the Easter Hat Parade as most of you know. Unpleasant childhood memories and the fact that it has nothing to do with the amazing thing that Jesus did at Easter really irritate me. However....we make a hat and the boys parade.
As you can see from one of the photos Xavi was most unimpressed but he warmed up and was a crowd pleaser in the end. Only 2 more parades to go!!!!
