Today was hot! Just hot! We spent the day checking the RFS app and watching the temperature. We spent a quiet day inside after program trying to escape the heat.
We went to Blackheath pools in the evening which helped take the edge off a grumpy, hot day. (It was probably just me who was grumpy but I hate the heat so there was no way around it)
Mike made us a really delicious lamb roast for dinner which we ate after the kiddies had gone to bed and all was quiet.
I should have taken photos at the pool but I didn't take my phone so insert cute swimming photos here.

SS Day 2 2013
Not many photos taken today but the excitement of Xavi & Chloe catching the bus for the first time was in the air!! They seemed to enjoy the bus and the program - little bits of the experience have been told throughout the day.
The rest of us are easing back into the SS groove.

SS Day 1 2013
I am not sure if today counts as Day 1 or not? Anyway The Gillies are in the pretty house so I'm going with yes today is Day 1.
After a very 'boring' trip up - yes a whole 1.5hours in the car with a lunch stop - we are such mean parents....we are here.
It's very quiet as the Sams' and Steph are yet to arrive. (We all know that really Steph is the noisy one but I thought I should include the Sams')
We have put the shopping away (thank you Jen, Steph and Coles online) and are watching the cricket. It's a nice way to start but we can hardly wait to see our Adelaide friends!!!! Xavi has already had a tantrum cause he won't see Aunty Jen until tomorrow!

Some home decorating
It's been a long time coming and after taking all the Christmas decorations down the house looked really bare. With the help of Liz, who not only is great at spotting a bargain and decorating, but is happy to spend my money we began the house improvement.
It's a work in progress but I am much happier - it looks like we love it now rather than just being blank walls.....stay tuned!

Some favourite people come to visit
New Years Day was a good day - it was Hanna's visit the Gillies day - a great way to start 2013!! Old friendships took off where they left off and some new friendships were made - mostly Indie with Hanna's and Tristan with Gillies. We had such a lovely, relaxing, fun day. Some friendships stand the test of time and distance. We are very grateful for our friends and the precious times we get to spend with them.
