Welcome

For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

Grateful

I know I should be happy that we had such a lovely holiday and be content with that but I am struggling with that at the moment. It's taking longer than I expected to get back into the swing of things. Being back reminds me how far away the Sams' and the Hanna's are and at this moment I miss them both terribly. It doesn't help that we've come back to some unanticipated frustrations and that Term 4 has begun - a term I always face with trepidation.
Today was Day 1 of this busy term. Seth went off to school happily enough. Xavi and I took ourselves out for a quick coffee before Bookworms. This is the last term I have with Xavi before he goes to big school. Ahhhh

I am going to work on being more grateful over the next few days. I have so much to be thankful for and I need to get back into it.

I am thankful for fun holidays, good friends, a wonderful husband, two amazing sons, gorgeous sisters and nieces and nephews(real and inherited)....that's a good start!

Family Birthday

On Sunday we celebrated Jemima and Laura's birthdays at Liz's. Mima asked for another smash cake which is always fun.

-Polo and Toby had to stay outside when there were yummy treats around.

The day after that day

Thankfully we were seeing Bibby and going to BuildaBear the day after the one we don't talk about. They helped take our mind off our sadness and it was a super fun party! We brought home some new fluffy friends - Seth's is Fuzzy and Xavier's is Mr Fudge

The day that will not be named

Well this is some pictures of the day that will not be named. Although we were out and about on a glorious spring day enjoying one another's company it was tinged with sadness and tears. Such a lovely time, such good friends - still wishing for a teleporter.

A little bit of this....

A little bit of that....

Then the sadness was upon us

Adelaide Day 9

Berty and Michael got up way too early to go and play golf somewhere.
Jen and I stayed home with the kids. They played happily most of the morning and then we took them up to the park for lunch. They play so nicely together. We are going to miss our friends and their easy friendship.

Jen and went out for High Tea at a beautiful garden centre not far from their place. It was so great!! We are storing up the good times and memories at the moment and trying not to think about the fact that tonight is our last night here.

Adelaide - Day 8

Today was a special day - it was Mel and Jen go out day!! Jen and I went to First Pour near the city for awesome coffee and then had a shop at Rundle St Mall. It was a day with no agenda and lots of time to meander and chat. We had a yummy lunch at a Greek cafe and then went to a chocolate shop for afternoon tea. It was such a nice day and one that will fill my tank for a long time to come. It's lazy days like this with good friends that are precious and dearly missed.

The kiddies had a Daddy day which involved trampoline rugby, fun at the park and more gelato!

It was also Ethan's birthday on zoo day. Jen made a great hulk cake for this crazy little 2 year old. How special that we were here to celebrate with him!!
