Welcome
For a long time I have been saying that I should write a blog about our family for our friends who live far away. As more of our friends are moving away I have finally got myself organised to do one!! Who knows how this will go - bear with me as I work this out :) Let the blogging begin.....

Teeth or the lack of
Xavier lost 4 teeth in two weeks. One while we were away and then three in quick succession when we got home and school started. He looks awesome haha!

School goes back 2015
School has begun.
Seth has the same teacher as last year. He is happy with that.
Xavier has a different teacher. We're hoping for another good year.
They went smiling on the first day...that's always good.
I don't really want to talk about school - we'll just post nice photos of our handsome boys instead.

Road Trip
After SS finished we got in the car and drove about 7 hours to Kempsey. We stayed overnight there then got up before 6 - yes before 6am - and drove to Brisbane. It was worth it cause we got to have lunch at the Hanna's - yay!
Below is a photo of us stopping at the Macadamia Castle along the way. The expression on Xavi's face about sums up our experience of the Macadamia Castle.
After lunch with the Hanna's we spent 3 nights in Caloundra. Swimming, going to the beach, swimming and reading. We also found some markets on the Sunday morning. I guess that's what people do when they don't go to church. It was a nice for a change. We ate mini pancakes and drank over priced but delicious iced tea.

Summer School 2015
2015 saw us return to Summer School. The boys had a blast at their programs and we pretended we were grown ups and sat inside - I know *gasp*!
We had the joy of staying in the most gorgeous little house and sharing meals with some lovely friends.
It was a great week (despite Bert and I both being sick at different points) and we will be back!

Christmas 2014
Another Christmas has come and gone. We had a good time celebrating with family and friends. My prayer is that in amongst all the food, presents, celebrations and busyness that the boys have a real understanding of the importance of why we celebrate Christmas. They came to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day church for the first time - that's got to help!

Caught up
If you just happened to flick over to my blog that has been asleep for the last few months then you are in for an absolute treat!! Or not.....depends how you feel about reading about our lives?
The pictures will probably need to be resized and are probably massive - that is annoying but I will fix that another day. It's a fiddly job and I have to go and roast pumpkin and make ice cream cakes.
Anyway grab a cuppa and sit back.....here is the last 3 months...go....

Christmas nail stickers
Lovely Jac gave me some Christmas nail stickers as an early surprise Christmas present.
I put them on last night. I am not sure if they are meant for fake nails or if they were printed the wrong way up or if my nails are too short or if I just suck at putting them on? Let's go with the last one.
Anyway poor gingerbread man lost his head and the pudding lost it's festive holly. However from a distance they look very cool and they remind me of a lovely surprise gift from one of my favourite friends - completely worth beheading gingi for!!

A day with Liz and the kids
Last Friday we got to spend the whole day with Liz and the kids while poor Matthew still had one day left of school.
It was so great. The kids played all day. Liz and I talked and drank coffee and I got lots of cuddles with the little man Fletch. It was a great day. We even made mini Christmas puddings - thank you Colin.
We are so blessed that the kids love being with each other. I know I have said it before but I pray it continues long into their teen years and beyond.

Carols 2014
I can hardly believe that this has already happened again! They are starting to blend together. Carols comes at the the end of just so much stuff for me: Kids' Club finale, kids church presentation day, scripture assembly, thinking about next year....but I love love to sing and I love love to sing carols. They so beautifully speak the truths of the Bible. It is a such a joy to lead people in song to God.
We had such beautiful weather after a week of massive storms every night. It was cool and still. I think we got 1600 people this year! What?! May they have heard the real Christmas message.
Jac you would be so proud - Xavi watched the fireworks without a towel over his head this year and without crying!! He even took his fingers out of his ears for about 3 seconds!!
